Publisher Description

How far can I go? It's the question of a generation wanting straight answers. Often the very questions we ask reveal our hearts better than anything else. In Kissed the Girls and Made Them Cry, Lisa Bevere tackles these tough issues by moving us from rules to relationship. There is no question we need a renewal of purity, but what we're doing is not working.

How far can you go? Ask yourself: What do you ultimately want? Immediate and temporary gratification that wanes with the passage of time? Or passion and exclusive intimacy that endures and intensifies?

God wants to move us beyond the restraint of the law (which arouses sin) and plant us into a garden of longing -- where our sexuality and passion is carefully guarded and cultivated until the time for its awakening. This is a book for every daughter in waiting and every woman who has never known desire in her life and marriage.

Such important truths for women

I am now 31 and wish I had read this book and gone through it with my parents when it first came out. I was only 13 then and didn’t have nearly as many regrets as I have now. This book has helped to open my eyes to the depth and beauty of God’s love and how I might reclaim my strength and dignity after a whole trail of broken relationships (me being broken and not having known any better at the time). Scriptures I’ve read before have taken on a new and deeper meaning after reading this book. I am thankful that God is using this book to change my life.

A most read for every woman and girl!

Love this book!!

Anyone and everyone who has a daughter should read this book for yourself, and with them when the time is right. Lisa speaks so boldly about the truth of desire, and how God intended it to be, (and also what to do when people do things before they should have been done). Seriously love this book. I read this at 19, and my only regret is that I wish I had read it sooner. Like around 12.
