"Just as the must-read series of Donna Kauffman (The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove), Jill Shalvis (Lucky Harbor), Terri Osburn (Anchor Island), Marie Force (The McCarthys of Gansett Island), Sherryl Woods (Chesapeake Shores) have entranced me with their seaside settings and caring communities - so has Tracey Alvarez - and I'm adding her series to my must-read shelf too." ~ Fab Fantasy Fiction

Exactly what family and friends are all about!!!

This is book 7.5 in the Due South series and it is perfect! I love Del and Shaye and any chance I get to revisit all the great characters in the Due South series, I will definitely take. It's a week before their wedding and she wants EVERYTHING perfect. She's become bridezilla with her wedding journal close at hand. What happens when a pesky and very large sea lion named Boris tries to ruin Shaye's wedding day?

This story has the perfect amount of humor, so much love, great family and awesome friends. I love that this author writes her characters as real people in real life situations. The cover is exactly how I would have pictured Del and Shay. Bravo Tracey Alvarez! Way to keep the series fresh!
Looking forward to whatever comes next!

Another great book!!

I just can't get enough of these books and characters. If you've read the Due South series (which you really must do, not only because it's hard to understand this book without it, but because the series is amazing) you're sure to love this book!

Shaye has everything planned out for the week before her wedding down to the minute but what will happen when things start to go wrong? It was so nice to see what has happened to Del and Shaye since “Ready to Burn.” Getting to catch up with them and see how they’ve grown as a couple was great!! Overall, Shaye and Del are a fantastic couple and I was upset when the story ended! And the Maori/ New Zealand references were wonderful as usual!

Happily Ever After Isnt' Always Perfect

Kissing the Bride is Tracey Alvarez’s latest installment in the Due South Series. This novella is the conclusion to Ready to Burn that we have all been waiting for. Shaye Harland and Del Westlake are finally tying the knot. Miss “I have a list for everything” is going to find out that life has its own plans and she’ll just have to go with the flow. As anyone who has ever planned a wedding will tell you, nothing goes according to plan. Shaye’s everything nuptial journal is going to fly out the window, so to speak. Everything that could possibly go wrong does go wrong. Thank goodness Del and the rest of her family and friends are there to keep her calm and save the day.

This book is uproariously funny, steaming hot, and packed full of surprises. The denizens of Oban know how to throw an unforgettable party. I’ll be rehashing the stag party with my girlfriend amidst hysterical laughter and swooning over the details of the wedding venue with envy.

Each time I return to Oban, I’m enamored with the people who live their all over again. Tracey’s characters are so realistic and beautifully flawed that you can’t help but fall in love with them. I am very much looking forward to Saying I Do.
