Though there are references to characters from the rest of the series, new readers will follow the plot with ease as Bujold lays out the intricacies of Lakewalker culture. Love it
I particularly love this one, I reread it frequently. I recommend reading the other four books 1st, I love those too and also reread them, so if you haven’t yet, check them out.
