Ignác Kúnos (originally Ignác Lusztig; 12 October 1860 – 12 January 1945) was a Hungarian folklorist, linguist, turkologist. He was one of the most recognized scientists of Turkish dialectology and folk literature. He started his career focusing on the dialectology, phonological and morphological of the Hungarian language, and at university he started interesting in Turkish philology and language. After his trip at the Orient, he collected Turkish fairy tales and published it in Forty-four Turkish Fairy Tales.
