Kyoto In View

Japan's cultural heritage as photographed in 3D by Kyoto Prize Fellow, R. Colin Johnson. These 72 images cover the main three historical sites in Kyoto, Japan, its imperial capital and still the county's cultural center. Kyoto--the "city of temples"--has over 2000 historical sites, 17 of which are treasured by the World Heritage Society. Three of those--the Temple of the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), the Temple of the Silver Pavilion (Ginkaku-ji), and the Temple of the Dragon at Peace (Ryoan-ji) were photographed here in 3D, along with a potpourri of other eye-catching impressions from around the over 320 square miles covered by the city of Kyoto.
