LaLucci

First I want to say that I know very little about Susan Lucci, I am aware of who she is but I never watched All my Children. I didn’t read her first book.
I was confused why she rarely talked about her father and why she kept referring to herself as ethnic looking but never addressed that, she only talked about her Mother. The book was mainly about her and Helmet and losing him and her stages of grief. It was obvious she loved him - she said it a lot !

I couldn’t understand why she didn’t talk about her daughter as she spoke lovingly about her son. I realize she wrote this assuming one would know more about her personal life.
After I finished her book I did google her to see if I could find out why her daughter wasn’t in the book and I was able to read they have been estranged for many years and she wasn’t invited to her Father’s funeral.
I think it would have nice if Susan had addressed that, as I feel like it’s an important part of who she is, it speaks volumes to me about what kind of person she is - it seems very selfish and immature to me to not invite your daughter let alone let an estrangement happen for so many years. What about her daughter’s children- her grandchildren, she never mentions them. I’m sad for those kids.
I did get the sense that MsLucci does have a healthy ego - she sure included a lot photos of herself! One or two of her sons children but none of Liza’s !
So in closing my review I give this 3 stars as it wasn’t all that interesting!
