Publisher Description

Ten Leaping Lords, one imperious grandmother, and a Mister from Louisiana were her Christmas fate.

Much to Lady Lucinda Claxton's dismay and irritation, her father's house party only includes bachelors ready to wed. With her siblings off celebrating Christmas elsewhere, Lucinda is left to fend for herself. A new arrival, however, changes everything, and soon Lucinda decides the next ten days may not be so tedious after all.

Mr. Caleb Copeland agrees to accompany his great-aunts to the home of the Duke of Arscott on one condition: He'll not participate in any of the entertainments. He is simply their escort, not an invited guest. However, as much as he tries to keep his vow, his path often crosses Lady Lucinda's while she is hiding from her court. Before long, Caleb knows none of her leaping lords will ever be worthy of her. Unfortunately, neither is he.

Fun filled entertaining story

Jane Charles has a delightful sense of humor as evidenced by this wonderful story, “Lady Lucinda’s Lords”. This is a light hearted tale that’s sure to entertain you!

The characters are delightfully charming, the dialogue is spot on and quite humorous. I loved Caleb’s aunts, I couldn’t help but laugh at them. The story is engaging, sweet and fun. It flows well and makes you feel good. Caleb and Lucinda were a great couple and I enjoyed the ease with which they communicated.

Caleb was quite charming but alas he was but a commoner from America. He was only there as escort to his grandmother and aunts. He had no interest in the house party and busied himself in other ways but when he and Lucinda met they had an instant, easy connection. They laughed together and got along so well. It was so sweet watching them become friends and fall in love.

Lady Lucinda was a kind, intelligent, capable young woman. She had a quick wit and sometimes a sharp tongue when dealing with the 10 Lords a Leaping, all invited to the house party by her father the Duke and her grandmother in hopes that she would choose a husband. While she had had several seasons and offers she just hadn’t met the one that made her heart do flip flops, until ...she met Caleb.

This was such a fun romantic story! thank you so much Jane for your wonderful sense of humor and warmth that shines through your sweet love stories.
