Customer Reviews
humorous, steamy and most entertaining
Juliet is the impoverished widow of a nasty earl whom her father forced her to marry. After spending three insufferable years married to ‘Lecherous Letheridge’, she decided that she would have a say in whom she married next. Left with debts and decrepit properties, as well as servants and tenants depending on her, Juliet, with the help of her solicitor Mr. Hastings, placed an advertisement for a wealthy husband. Zeus J. Tanner was applicant number twenty-four. He had his eye on one of her properties, and was determined to be selected, although he was not too thrilled with the interview process. The hoops that Juliet made Zeus jump through bordered on ridiculous, although she had a good reason for each one. Things got steamy, slightly embarrassing, and most entertaining. Juliet’s innocence led to some very humorous statements and explanations….and quite frankly, I never knew there were so many terms for certain anatomical parts and actions. You will find some intense emotional moments and secrets revealed before an agreement was finally reached. This story is so good, and when paired with ‘The Lady Imposter’, you have the delightfully delicious tale of a lady, her companion and the two men who won their hearts on a single stormy afternoon. Loved it!
Hilarious Fun!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
What an absurdly delightfully hilarious tale of Juliette and Zeus! This is a laugh out loud romp! I loved how Juliette takes control of her life after living under the thumb of a medieval father and wasteful husband! Zeus has his secrets, one I did not see coming. The twists, turns and frolicking of this short story is sure to tickle your funny bone, heat up your insides and bring joy with a very happy ending!
Love
