Publisher Description
For many, the wages of interplanetary peace will be as deadly as the wages of war.
The Grand Galactic Alliance, bled white by nearly three years of civil war, has collapsed into dysfunction and fascism. The breakaway Union of Free Stars eyes them uneasily across newly-established borders. The chatter across the space lanes is of treaties and armistice. But no one trusts it yet.
The Hell's Jesters have become a liability for all. They know too much of both sides' crimes, too many politicians' secrets. And now an old enemy resurfaces to seek vengeance, armed with a private fleet and a homicidal AI that knows the Jesters better than they know themselves.
There will no safe place left in the galaxy. It's closing time for freedom fighters.
It's Last Call for the Jesters.
Customer Reviews
Hey Coble!! Read This.
Just finished the series. Not bad. Also not great. There’s a whole slew of grammatical errors littered throughout every bit of every book except for the first one. I mean tons and tons of them often running from one sentence to the next.
I challenge you to go more than 5 pages in any of the last 5 books without finding a grammatical error that doesn’t confuse an entire sentence or thought to where you have to pause a second and correct it mentally. Which, of course, messes up the flow of the story as you read it.
PAY AN EDITOR OR TWO!!!!
Because the author obviously doesn’t look back on the writing.
Aside from that. Not a bad story.
Most battles are repetitive in wording and style…. Literally the same wording in many instances.
All of the good guys live through too many impossible situations to count.
Conclusion; it’s like a cartoon that you’d watch as a teen.
