Lavished

This book is meant to be an additional study help for working through Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. Paul sets the stage early in the letter by communicating our identity in Christ. Words like predestined, redeemed, adopted, chosen, holy, blameless, lavished with grace, love, and others begin to reveal to us the magnitude and pervasiveness of our great salvation in Christ, and our new identity in Christ. As I have studied Ephesians, it has been helpful for me to revisit the first three chapters as I make my way through the remaining chapters. I am attempting in this short volume to do just that. I am taking phrases and words from the beginning of the book and expounding on them. It is meant to be a study tool that you can read before reading and studying Ephesians, revisit as you make your way through the middle of the book, and then again after you have finished. I pray that as we meditate on the beauty of the grace of God which He lavished on us in Christ Jesus, the new identity we have been given as sons and daughters will solidify in our minds, resonate in our hearts, and permeate our lives.
