Abrupt ending
Even though I understand the need to sell further books on a series, this ending was a bit to abrupt for me. Storyline was good but it was too much of a teaser book.
Cliffhanger
If an author doesn’t think a stand alone book is good enough to bring readers back for more, who is to argue? I will not read or buy anything from this author again.

Just getting started then ends abruptly in a cliffhanger.
