Well, it’s OK
I guess I haven’t bought an after market manual for a software product in a few years but I was expecting a source of specimen files that I could use to more clearly understand the effect of various commands. It seems I’m expected to already have large and detailed files created upon which to perform the various operations….didn’t those files used to be provided in a pocket in the jacket of the printed manual, or with a link to such files on a web page somewhere as part of the package??? Well I don’t have much in the way of specimen files having retired a few years ago and am taking up learning Excel as a hobby to assist in retirement investing.
Also, the whole ebook is printed in monotone, including the screen caps so it is very difficult for me to easily make out the little boxes on the workbook menus, and I have a 27” iMac!! Why not color screen caps? MS Office products are half about color coding to assist the editor in keeping organized, right?
So why not 1 Star? Well, there is some information in there but the book is just a lot harder to use than it needs to be. I’d ask for a return and refund but Apple doesn’t give refunds on downloaded products as far as I can determine.
