Close but no cigar. The genius of Dual Language books is that the reader is immediately able to see the English translation of any word, phrase or sentence just by looking at the opposing page. Usually the English translation is even on the same line. No interrupting one’s chain of thought to stop and look up words or consult grammar books. No scanning through texts trying to locate the passage you need.
Unfortunately, because of the way this book is formatted, the reader cannot do this. Instead the reader must read a page of text in one language and then scroll down to read the same text in English. This completely defeats the purpose.
I’m no computer whiz, but I don’t imagine it would be too difficult to format the book in such a way that the French version is on the left half with the English translation on the right half of the same page.
