Excellent for getting past the surface
This is a great resource for getting beyond the buzzwords and culture of Christianity to prompt deeper study.
Awesome Overview of God’s Word
This book was recommended by a friend months ago... basically as an intro to this author (who is now a favorite). Well, I became sidetracked, which is normal (ha!), and after reading quite a large stack of his books, decided I might as well read this one also. First of all, if you’re a new Christian, you need this overview. It will help you see the Bible as a whole. Second, I don’t care if you’ve been a child of God for 40 years, if you have trouble finding current relevance with the Old Testament... this is the book for you. I’m so thankful I read it so I can now recommend it to others who have difficulty understanding the Word of God. It would also make a great Bible study. Keep in mind, he only hits the high points, but you can use this as a guide to dig as deep as you want go.
