Quick and Effective Intro to CTAs

This is an excellent introduction to reading CTAs. As a medical student, with little background in neuroradiology, I was able to follow along very easily. It is written in plain and clear manner with practical clinical correlations along the way. It offers more than enough depth and detail without sacrificing readability.

It is also a very engaging and active read. Unlike typical radiology texts that present static images, this Ibook allows you to "scroll through” unlabeled scans as you would in a clinical setting. Then you get to scroll through the annotated scan, obtaining immediate feedback on your initial read; this leads to a very effective and fun learning experience. It feels like a one on one teaching session with Dr. Mamourian.

Finally - it can be a very quick and versatile read. You can get through it in a weekend, and is very convenient to go through on the iPhone before going to bed or in between lectures.

A revolution in radiology education

I am a practicing neuroradiologist myself. This ibook is an absolutely stunning and revolutionary education tool in radiology and medical imaging. The written content is very well done and what distinguishes this book from regular books are the embedded real stacks of images that are provided for the reader. They really simulate real image interpretation scenarios. The author provides excellent technical and interpretive tips to the readers through carefully chosen examples. The content mastery distilled in this short book can only be gained through years of experience, but is now readily available to the reader in a short electronic format, making it a very high-yield read. It would benefit all residents, fellows, or even practitioners needing a review of neurological CTA. This book will serve as a model for future imaging books.
