"Vaulted me out of my funk.... So, fellow moderate pessimists, go buy this book." —The New York Times Book Review
Offering many simple techniques anyone can practice, Dr. Seligman explains how to break an “I–give–up” habit, develop a more constructive explanatory style for interpreting your behavior, and experience the benefits of a more positive interior dialogue.
With generous additional advice on how to encourage optimistic behavior at school, at work and in children, Learned Optimism is both profound and practical—and valuable for every phase of life.

Where's the beef?
I had this book in print for a long time but never had time to sit and read it so I bought this audio version. Only then did I realize that it is NOT the same but only a small amount of the content that is in print. iTunes should have disclosed this plainly. On a positive note, it did whet my appetite to pick up my book in print.
For those with ambition
Lead, follow, or get out of the way. This book is excellent for anyone deeply committed to scaling companies, leading social groups, or simply improving themselves.
If you’re at all interested in making a difference in your company, your country, or your family’s future, this book may be the most important book you’ll read all year.
We need more visionaries like Seligman.
Highlighting doesn’t work properly
Highlighting doesn’t work properly. Works fine with my other books. The file must be damaged somehow or formatted incorrectly.
