There are some reviews that are harder to write than others. This is one of the harder ones, because I loved the book so much. There is something about Jess Dee’s writing that just seizes hold of your heart. This book in particular does that exceptionally well. While I enjoy reading about new love a lot, there is just something extra special reading about a couple fighting for their love and relationship. Relationships are not all about hearts and flowers they take work to make it last, and we, as people tend to forget in the daily grind of our lives.
Zoey and Theo are one of those perfect couples we all look up to. So when their friends of the Diner Club start to see issues between them it rocks the whole group. Zoey is truly at her wit's end with the gaping hole between her and Theo. She is tired of their only communication being fighting. She is leaving to save them, but will she break Theo in that process.
Theo's whole world crumbled when she walked out the door. Every thing around him is suffering. He is in the dark as to when they went from perfect to crumbling, so he is going to fight for them, even if he has to fight Zoe herself. Theo has my heart big time. Not every man would fight so hard in the face of all that comes at him. Only a true love could survive these kinds of issues.
The thing I love most about these types of books is how much I learn from them. It is easy to throw in the towel when times get rough, but we end up with so much more if we fight for each other. I highly recommend this book and series, each book in this series is a must read!
