Things are looking up. Getting out from under the thumb of Kansas City’s most powerful “legitimate businessman” is good. Escaping with a generous severance is even better. Hooking cars again just like the old days is nice. Patch enjoying nearly unlimited kitty treats is nicer. The newest client is a bit bossy, though — not cool. Dea’s new business partner is known to be a bit sketchy — even less cool. And, the noisy new neighbor sounds like all kinds of irritating. Maybe things are only going sideways.
