Illusions shatter—and Sophie and her friends face impossible choices—in this astonishing eighth book in the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling Keeper of the Lost Cities series.

Sophie Foster wants answers. But after a lifetime of lies, sometimes the truth is the most dangerous discovery. Even the smallest secret comes with terrifying new responsibilities.

And Sophie’s not the only one with blank spots in her past, or mysteries surrounding her family. She and her friends are part of something much bigger than they imagined—and their roles have already been chosen for them.

Every clue drags them deeper into the conspiracy. Every memory forces them to question everything—especially one another. And the harder they fight, the more the lines blur between friend and enemy.

Why why is Fintan ditched?!

I’m sorry but this isn’t real Keeper.

The REAL keeper is me staying up all night reading a book I have read five times before holding my breath because I can FEEL the crackle of Everblaze on my skin, and I can HEAR Fintan taunting me, and I can SEE my friends cowering in terror behind the neon flames.

The REAL Keeper had consistent action/battle to keep me engaged, keep me thinking “What’s next? Is Fintan going to jump out with fire? Is Ruy going to pin me under a force field?”

The FAKE keeper (starting at Flashback) introduces Gisela who by the way is pathetic and gives me no terror.

When reading Flashback I thought “Okay, this is the Regrouping book, where things calm down and at the end we find Fintan has escaped his cell.”

Then Shannon, you HAD to write this book.

I doubt you can deliver a bad story so please fire your editing team.

This book was the opposite of KOTLC. I was not engaged. I could not relate. This book was all drama (Romantic drama, Lost Cities Power Struggle Drama, Elvin feud drama, and friendship drama). I finished the book feeling empty and bleak, wishing I could sneak to the ice prison and free Fintan so I can have Real Keeper back.

I don’t know what you plan to do with the story, but please rethink it.

When I read keeper for the first time, I loved it because it was a thrill ride. Yes, there were heart-wrenching sacrifices, and yes, there was some drama (Stina, Keefe book four, Biana), but there was only enough to slow it down to make it believable!

It’s not a thrill ride anymore. It’s just a series of hard choices with zero battle scenes of fire and Foster we all love.

Maruca is so over powered...couldn’t you think of ANY OTHER ability to give her besides Psionipath?!

Also why do Elves go into outer space? That’s corny.

Please fix this Shannon. I want Fintan back. I want the endless battles of flame and villains who ACTUALLY inspire awe and feeling.

Gisela is stupid. Sorry.

I miss the vengeful fools Fintan painted the Neverseen to be.
