Legend of the Eight Immortals

The Eight Immortals are the eight gods of Taoism widely circulated in Chinese folklore . The name of the Eight Immortals was different before the Ming Dynasty. In Ming Dynasty they were originally defined as: Lu Dongbin, He Xiangu, Lan Caihe, Zhang Guolao, Li Tieguai, Cao Guojiu, Zhong Liqun, Han Xiangzi,  


Among the many immortals in China, the Eight Immortals are the most powerful and influential gods. The legends about them have always been talked about, especially the story of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea.
