As civil war consumes the Aramite invaders, Cabe Bedlam, his family, and allies find themselves spread not just throughout the Dragonrealm, but on the war-torn continent once under the supreme power of the wolf raiders. With the Nameless now having achieved its sinister goal, Cabe must trust in his treacherous father, Azran, risen from the dead and with plots of his own at work.

Worse, as that unfolds, the Gryphon --- his wife, children, and kingdom lost to him --- is dragged on a monstrous quest to locate the one creature powerful enough to bring order and peace to the chaos sweeping over both continents. However, unaware that the warlock Shade has discovered that the threat stretches into other worlds as well, the Gryphon does not realize that the one he seeks could actually be the final death knell for not just the Dragonrealm...but everything.
