Lehmann Documents

Here are, in Lehmann’s own handwriting, or typed pages, her interpretive suggestions for art songs and arias. You will also find letters that she wrote to her students and fans. Articles on her travels, experiences, etc., both published and not, are available. An assortment of playbills, programs, and newspaper notices have been assembled. You’ll discover many new Lehmann photos. Documents from previous volumes in this series have been duplicated here: LL’s Roles and Recital Repertoire, Discography, Bibliography, Chronology, LL’s Conductors, as well as examples of her writing, including her novelette Of Heaven, Hell & Hollywood. Lehmann’s meeting with Goering, in both her and Dr. Michael Kater’s versions are included.
