In book 1, The Rose, readers are introduced to a small rose who struggles to find its identity and fit in with the other flowers in the garden. Its thick and prickly stem, makes it look different than the other flowers that surround it. This causes the rose to be criticized and ignored by the other flowers. With the tender care and nurturing of the Gardener and the friendship of a wise little worm, the rose learns how to accept itself and see its value in the garden. Kids will learn how to value people of different backgrounds and appearances in society, as well as learning how to love their own unique and God given qualities.

In Book 2 of this series, Tending the Garden, the Gardener begins to spend so much time enjoying parties and special events, that he neglects the health of his garden. When his garden begins to suffer from bugs and his plants become sick, he suddenly learns that he must maintain the care of his garden, in order to enjoy its beauty. This book teaches kids the importance of diligently maintaining and taking care of the relationships and skills that they have in life.

In Book 3 of this series, The Palm Tree Who Did Not Want To Be Pruned, kids meet a strong and interesting palm tree who loves living in the garden created by the Gardener. But the palm tree hates being pruned and clipped by the Gardener. After refusing to be pruned many times, the palm tree finally convinces the Gardener to stop pruning it. But when a horrible storm comes along, the palm tree learns why it is important to trust the care and allow the pruning that the Gardener relies on, in order to strengthen the palm tree against storms.

Kids will learn why it's important to trust the guidance and authority of their family members and authority figures God has put in their life, as they read about the adventures of the palm tree.
