What’s a woman to do when trapped in a storm with a handsome scoundrel?
Weary from dodging wandering hands, Yvette Valiant escapes yet another scandalous house party and her brother’s dubious protection, fleeing into a snowy landscape, intent on returning home to Bath for Christmas. One stranded coach later, she’s rescued by the biggest rogue of them all—her brother’s best friend.
A scoundrel he may be, but even Luc Ayles is capable of love. What else would have him chasing a woman who seemingly detests the very sight of him? When Yvette foolishly puts her safety and reputation in jeopardy, Luc rushes to her aid, despite knowing his affection is the last gift Yvette could ever want for Christmas.
Then again, it’s the season of giving…and if Yvette would only give him her heart, it could be the happiest holiday ever.

Luc & Yvette
Yvette Valiant is not interested in rakes or scoundrels. She avoids them at all costs. Luc Ayles, her brother’s best friend, is handsome and definitely a dangerous scoundrel. Her brother Rhys has taken her to a house party full of scoundrels. Her brother is a terrible chaperone. Luc is trying to protect Yvette and charm his way into her heart. When Yvette is ready to leave she finds her brother is being a rake and she escapes the party in her carriage. Along the way her carriage wheel breaks and she is stuck in the snow. Luc is worried and follows after Yvette. Luc
rescues Yvette from the snow storm. He takes her to his family estate where his grandmother resides.
This was a delightful Christmas holiday novella. Luc is very adorable and sweet. Yvette wants to avoid scoundrels but can she stay away from Luc? Yvette does not understand her feelings for Luc. Yvette and Luc have a passion that sweeps them away. Luc is irresistible and a temptation Yvette cannot deny. Will Yvette be able to overlook the fact that Luc was a scoundrel? You will root for Luc and hopefully he will convince Yvette he is not a scoundrel anymore. Will Yvette allow herself to fall in love with Luc? Once she lets her guard down they have a connection that sizzles when they are together. The story flows and keeps you turning the pages. You cannot stop reading until you reach the end of the story. Overall this is a fun and entertaining read. This story does not disappoint. I enjoyed this novella and look forward to reading more books by Heather Boyd.
