A short fictional story set in the year 2029, describes a dystopian future as seen through the eyes of a conquering soldier. The events leading to the attrition of the country ten years after the separation of Britain from the European community are described in terms of an enduring long term plan. Rumination of cause and his immediate future take place within the soldiers commentary.
