An anthology of zombie thrillers...Mackey is a 13-year old girl who now must survive on her own after witnessing her father being cannibalized by a horde of zombies. Using survivalist methods her father taught her, she must transverse the country in an effort to reach her grandparents who are in a sanctuary city. Katie can't study in her dorm room. She gets distraction after distraction until her entire world gets shifted upside down. The dead are now walking the streets and eating whoever crosses their path...Disbelieving at first, Katie receives a frantic phone call from her younger sister then gets disconnected. She decides that she has to make her way home and search for her sister and parents who are not answering their phone...

It is when she gets home that things are even worse than she realized...
