Fantastic romantic suspense!
Emma and Cole have amazing chemistry. I loved being on the edge of my seat, in suspense, while waiting for Jacob to surface throughout the book! At the same time watching Emma and Cole get closer and closer to igniting the flame threatening to burn between them. The hypnotic poison and gas were brilliant! The plot is very cleverly written. (You'd never know this is the author's first novel.) Character development was great! I did not like Cherise! I know that's very catty of me but COME ON!!! She played her role perfectly! If I were Emma I would never let that woman around Cole again! She is untrustworthy! Grant wasn't my favorite character either. Joey, on the other hand, was pretty great. The only problem I had was with the end of the story and the epilogue. The epilogue should have been the end and the HEA should have been the epilogue. Regardless, it was still a fantastic story! I look forward to reading more from this very talented and new author.
