OMG, what an amazing start to a new series! I already can't wait for the next one. This first outing shares an amazing cast of characters, starting with our lead heroine and hero, Emma and Jason. Their tumultuous past is woven into their very precarious present, and their attraction to one another practically scorches right off the page. Their determination to do the right thing for both the world at large and for each other has you rooting for them right from the get go. And that supporting cast I mentioned? So wonderfully presented that I can't even decide whose story I want first. And then there's the bad guys. Evil incarnate, and providing enough scary twists and turns to keep you reading far into the night. Another knock-out book from Ms. Hernandez. Bravo!

If you love books by Toni Anderson or Rachel Grant, then you are going to love this book!
Emma Gallagher is one strong lady and Jason Chin is perfect as the hero. Both have histories that have brought them to Lucerne where their worlds collide. The characters are well developed and back stories explain how these two people landed where they are. Descriptions of the area and other characters pull you into the story. Fast paced action keeps you reading without wanting to stop. I stayed up way too long one night, morning?, to finish it. It’s that good.
So you want more information? Then you are going to have to read the book! I don’t do spoilers. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series! I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!
