Finally!
I so wish that Wisper was a real place! A town where everyone is accepted and valued. The characters of Devo and Abey are relatable and real. You gotta love the old curmudgeon Red Graves who is nasty to everyone but turns out he is another wounded heart. You get to meet Devi’s mom and Abey’s mom who are total opposites in how they feel about their daughters sexuality. There are new characters that you get to meet. This book continues to weave through the stories and lives of the many characters that make up the town of Wisper. Greta does a masterful job of capturing your imagination and heart with these books! Each book can be read by themselves but by reading the entire series you become a part of the town and it’s many people. The issues that the LGBTQ people face are real and heartbreaking. I fell in love with Abey the first time she showed up in the series and I’m so happy she got her own story.
If you want to read a series that is about the issues of our society and get something out of it this is the series for you!
