Sheriff Louis Gilbert presides over the small town of Julian, high in the mountains and surrounded by apple orchards and forest. When he stumbles onto a murder unlike anything he has seen, Sheriff Gilbert spirals into a strange world that while new to him, has existed since before our the very foundation of America - a world of horrific transformation and ancient demonic power.

Struggling to survive amongst horrendous dreams and odd newcomers to his quiet town, Sheriff Gilbert attempts desperately to slow his descent into madness.
