It is about my process of awakening to my true self and accepting a body and a spirit that does not fit comfortably into society's views of Black or white, queer, or straight. Pain, Discovery, Rage, Longing, and Awareness pour out of the pages here. I felt like the author removed her mask and shared her vulnerability and bravely exposed the space Queer women of color navigate in society, and the toll it takes on our well-being. Thank you for giving this to the world. There are so many others who will feel less alone because of this work of art.
