Little Mouse Girl

This picture book folk tale comes from India. Different versions of ‘the Chain of Husbands’ story can be found all over the world. The  tale of the small animal who turns into a human baby, grows up and then finds her true love as an animal once more has been told in the Indian PANCHATANTRA and in AESOP’S FABLES. Joanna’s illustrations echo the folk arts of India.
