NWSSR ,

Highly recommend this book!

If you are truly thinking of getting one...please READ this book!! All too often, people think that "a wolfdog will make me look cool", "they will make a great guard dog", or "they are just like any other dog"...wrong!
Before you get in way over your head and get one, take the time to read up on this breed. Sad thing is, once you do commit to one, it IS a lifetime responsibility...this breed is all to often put to death if surrendered to a shelter. What is worse, if you don't know what you're doing when it comes to training and socializing, every little negative is blown out of proportion and only allows those I tend to call "Canine Racists" that much more to go on when it comes to the banning of certain breeds.
This is a gentle giant if taken care of correctly. I have had wolf dogs for over 20 years and there are a lot of good tips and information in this book for anyone who would be a first time owner to this breed. I also recommend her other book too, Wolfdogs A to Z.
