Publisher Description
A new baron accused of murder. A young lady who knows he is innocent. When she helps free him, they will be forced to marry. Can their mutual dislike lead to true love?
A steamy historical suspense romance, about a young woman driven to do the right thing, a lord who does not quite appreciate the gesture, and a murder investigation that could end their new relationship before it begins.
Her conscience drives her to act ...
Miss Lily Abbott knows the new baron is innocent because she saw him entering the widow's home next door at the time of the crime. But when the widow refuses to assist him, this young woman who hoped to marry for love cannot stand idly by when she knows the truth. Lily risks everything to provide an alibi for the glib gentleman who barely remembers her name.
He can't believe he has to marry her ...
Lord Brendan Ridley stands accused of patricide to gain the title he now holds. Not even his close family connection to the powerful Duke of Halmesbury can help him. He prays his paramour will come forward to clear his name, but honor dictates he not reveal his whereabouts that night without her consent. When help comes from an unexpected quarter, he finds himself forced to marry an annoying chatterbox to save her from scandal.
When these two mismatched people are forced to marry, will they find a way to work together to reveal an enduring passion before the real murderer strikes again?
Long Live the Baron is the delightful first book in the Inconvenient Scandals series of steamy Regency suspense romance books. If you like worthy heroes, strong heroines, fast-paced plots, and enduring connections, then you'll adore Nina Jarrett's charming novel.

Lily is delightful
Absorbing mystery romance. Lily is a delight.
Enchanting romance
Long Live the Baron is book six in The Inconvenient Bride series. This was my first book to read in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story has a great pace and a number of twists and turns in the plot that I didn’t expect. One of my favorite characters was the villain Lady Slight. She was someone that I just loved to hate. But my favorite character was the heroine Lily Abbott. She is small in stature and has a controlling mother who keeps her in a state of arrested development. But despite all of this, Lily has a true and honest heart. When a man is falsely accused of murdering his father, Lily is the only one who can rescue him from the gallows. But will she give up everything to do it? Read it and find out. You will enjoy every minute of it. I received a free copy of this book, and am leaving this review voluntarily.
