The short tales contained in this book have been taken from the international literature of fables and freely translated to English. Every story has been partially modified, without to alter of the sense or the moral in contained it. Therefore, every reference or likeness to previous stories published must be thought accidental or completely involuntary. The author strongly thanks Aesop, Fedro, La Fontaine, Tolstoj and the other great masters of the international literature of fables. Their great works have suggested and contributed in determining way to the realization of this and other books of the same kind.
