Outstanding
Really fell in love with these new characters. The plot is great, I love when I can't predict the next turn.
Do I understand the next stories in the series will be by other authors? If so I hope they live up to this start!
Needs Work
The story as a whole is not bad. The characters were a bit bland for my taste. One of the biggest issues I had ws that both of the characters speak the same language, but for whatever reason Nikolai uses caveman/Tarzan language. Things like “Jane, so good” or “You, stay.” As if he is unable to make full sentences. It got kind of bothersome.

I knew it would be good, but Showalter outdid herself with this one. Can't wait for the brothers and sister stories to follow!
