Welcome to Lore of the Underlings, a trail of tales to the end of things, and maybe a bit beyond...
In these first episodes of the Lore, curious strangers cross the daunting wilderness of Syland to find a folk long hidden away. Though the folk resist, the strangers draw them into a devilish mess nonetheless. The leaders of the folk and their forces, the Guard, must face the sudden fear that they have grown weak in their long isolation.
Lore of the Underlings is an epic poetry series from John Klobucher's lands of Lore. It's a bittersweet saga of gold and shadow told in classic style -- with old-world words but new-world wit. Fun for fans of puns and lyrical tongues!

An enticing mix of Shakespeare and Tolkien, written for a third millennial audience. Exciting, mysterious, humorous. Lore of the Underlings moves along at a lyrical pace, deftly balancing dry wit and creepiness. Can't wait to read more!
This is just the first installment of a much larger epic fantasy, but what a beginning! I particularly liked the language the author uses -- it's a very distinctive style. You really should give this a try.
This epic is EPIC - can't wait for Episode 3!
Who can resist reading an enthralling epic just as it begins to unfold? I highly recommend the Lore - a great read for all ages. I hope Mr. Klobucher has more episodes in the works because I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment. More Lore, More Lore, More Lore!
