An award-winning true story that poignantly captures the essence of living in the moment.

In 2006, Ashe Stevens is a young actor with big dreams, caught up in the buzz of early-2000s Los Angeles. When his best friend Danny—a well-known LA DJ—invites him to Beirut to help organize the country's biggest concert, headlined by 50 Cent, Ashe jumps at the chance. The city is electric: glamorous, open, alive with possibility. He's mesmerized by the people, the energy, and a beautiful blonde billionaire who captures his heart.

Just as he begins to imagine his future in the Middle East, war erupts. Israeli airstrikes hit Beirut, and the world he's come to love is thrown into chaos. As bombs fall, Ashe is forced to confront mortality, loss, and the shattering of everything he thought he understood about the world… and himself.

Lost in Beirut is a powerful reminder of how everything can change in an instant, and that life is only ever truly lived in the now.

A MUST READ

{ Disclaimer: I know some people don’t like to give ratings to true stories but I just have to because of the work that I know went into putting this book out! I was blessed with the chance to have many in-depth chats with Magdalena Stevens about everything & everyone mentioned in this book & it left me with a book hangover!} (Swipe for the synopsis)

This true story takes you on such a wild ride it’s hard for you to put it down. I felt so many emotions while reading this book, I laughed, I was shocked and was extremely anxious on almost every single page! I loved the culture representation & reading about the upscale vibes of Lebanon. 👌🏽 When I finished this book, I remember closing it and saying “WOW”. I then talked for over an hour about it to my husband. 😂

I honestly did not think that I would like this book because I am such a fan of fiction/thriller books but I do not regret reading this book for one second. Lost in Beirut opened my eyes to the devastation that had taken place with the 2006 Lebanon War & also made me think of what’s happening in Ukraine. It’s a true story of love, of loss & war; a story that makes you FEEL!!

Listen, without me saying too much to spoil this book, I just think EVERYONE should read it! So add it to your 2022 TBRs y’all, you won’t regret it.

Much 💗 to @lostinbeirutbook for not only gifting me with a signed copy of your book but also for your opened DMs to chat about this whole process for you and Ashe and the backstory. I am so looking forward to what you guys put out next & hoping that this book becomes a movie because if people won’t read it, they need to see it!

Greatest love & war story ever written

What a great story of love and survival, of risk and rewards. The time and energy spent by the Authors making sure to richly describe everything in story, made it feel like I was watching a blockbuster movie. Can’t wait for a second book.
