Lost Relic of the Gods is one of the most prophetic, exciting, 2012 mystery thrillers I've read. I give it five stars. Friedberg weaves together a high tension 2012 thriller, an intricate 2012 conspiracy, and the greatest ancient secret ever not known. His astonishing, stand-out, 2012 character Jack Vane--private eye--is a new icon for 2012, as was Bond in his era, and Wonder Woman in hers.
For the first time I actually have food for thought about the secret connections between 2012, Mayan predictions, and the ancient road to Armageddon that threatens our world in 2012. It's a delight to the take this bizarre ride inside Friedberg's mind---filled with ancient rituals, the end of the world, and modern forces of good and evil. Friedberg has a masterful talent for style, intense action and quick-witted dialogue. His writing holds the noir feel of a Raymond Chandler novel, the shock of the Matrix, and the heart-racing, suspense-filled ride of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
And before I could catch my breath, just when I thought I knew the answer to the great mystery of the Lost Relic and 2012, Friedberg pulled the rug out from under me and dropped me into another vicious free fall. Layer upon layer of 2012, Friedberg seems to relish taking the reader through a "solar storm" of terror, greed, lust, and insane passions. He throws everything including the bathroom sink at his stand-out 2012 protagonist Jack Vane, and, as the reader, you can't help but get swept away rooting for Jack all the way---in torrent he faces as he undergoes a monstrous physical, emotional, and mental transformation. Also, there is not only a love story under the paragraphs, but there are two!
2012--What a ride! Take it!
