Love Always

This is a fictionalized story of Eliza Ann Stoddard, second wife of the Reverend Dr. Elijah W. Stoddard, 8th Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Succasunna, NJ. Eliza's life spanned 89 years from 1838 to 1927. This book follows the history known, and the diaries written by her and other family members. Plus, using the books that Eliza Stoddard wrote, the author has tried to give the reader a loving picture of a truly loving woman, who gave so much of her life to others.

Her most enduring legacy is the Eliza Platt Stoddard Memorial Chapel, build in 1887 for her daughter, Linnett, who died at age 16. This book is a glimpse back in time to simpler days when family, faith, and fellowship helped people survive the heartbreak of losing a child. Eliza turned her grief into action so that she could lift up all the children in her community with Christian education and the warmth of her love.
