Publisher Description
With Love and Other Scandals, bestselling and RITA Award–winning author Caroline Linden launches a scandalously sexy new historical romance series set in Regency England.
Joan Bennett is a breath away from being a spinster. She’s had four seasons without a suitor. After reading a shockingly sensuous book, Fifty Ways to Sin, Joan decides perhaps it’s time to stop being proper and start being sinful, while she’s still young enough to enjoy it. And what better partner than her brother’s drinking mate, Viscount Burke? He seems the type to know how to give a lady a lascivious adventure.
It seems that the viscount has qualms about trifling with a friend’s sister. That’s the way to end up betrothed. And he doesn’t want that—or does he?
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Joan Bennet is a respectable young lady worried that she'll never find a husband. She's also addicted to a not-so-respectable publication called 50 Ways To Sin. When her brother's cheerfully disreputable friend Tristan Burke becomes his houseguest, Tristan and Joan strike up a flirtation that neither of them expects to go anywhere. Of course, that's before her parents have to leave town and her scandalous Aunt Evangeline comes to "chaperone." Linden somehow makes the Regency romance feel new again with this warm, likeable novel. With less chaperoning, Joan and Tristan become closer, letting attraction take its course. The obstacles to their love are simple but real: curvy Joan doesn't know how to love her body or dress to flatter it, and Tristan's unhappy family life gives him good reasons to fear marriage. Yet the simplicity of Linden's plot is its strength, making the romance feel real and natural and allowing her great skill at characterization to take the weight of the story. Joan and Tristan genuinely enjoy each other, and their chemistry is sparkling. A quiet gem.

Love and Other Scandals Oceanrosebud
This novel is witty and romantic. It often made me lol and that rarely happens to me. The two characters Joan (also known as the Amazon) and Tristan (also known as the Rake) spare with humorous batter. The plot is their scandal told so well that you really care for these two people with all your heart. I am a romantic so this story was a very lovely surprise and I am glad that I read it.
Wonderful characters
Terrific read ❤️
Fun Read
I gobbled this book right up. It was a wonderful brother’s friend/(loose) enemies to lovers story that was so well done I couldn’t put it down. Neither character is exactly as they first appear. It’s fun to watch them discover each other’s true selves during the course of the novel. Give it a read, if you haven’t already!
