Publisher Description
A new lessons-in-seduction hockey romance from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Sarina Bowen.
After I’m arrested for throwing a raucous party, my hockey team says I have an image problem. And I need to fix it, stat.
Charity work? Check. Haircut? Sure. But I draw the line at hiring my neighbor to style me. In the first place “style” shouldn’t be a verb. And I’m tired of people who’d judge me on appearances.
Vera and I don’t see eye to eye on anything. She wants me to try on clothes, while I just want to remove hers. She's distractingly pretty, with soulful eyes and a sinful mouth that likes to argue with me.
But when management threatens my summer vacation, I grudgingly agree to Vera’s unusual proposal: she’ll give me an image makeover. But in return, she wants lessons in the art of seduction.
It sounds a little nutty, but I know a good opening when I hear it. Besides, it’s not like I’ll ever fall for her…

Not too bad. Not too boring either
Even though I had this digital download saved on my phone’s I Cloud a few months, I finally found the time to actually read every single chapter without skipping. I could say it’s not too bad and not too boring either. As always, the hot guy with tattoos on his shirtless chest on the book cover was enough to convince me to purchase the digital version of Love Lessons. Surprisingly, Ian is described as the ‘bad boy’ of an professional hockey team who’s needed to have an ‘image makeover’ and personal stylist Vera is one to make it happen. At first, they bicker and forth over the silliest things but they put their personal differences aside when they travel to Italy with mutual friends for two weeks. From there things get heated really quick. Vera asks Ian to give her hands on lessons in the art of seduction in the bedroom? Of course Ian jumps at the chance to give Vera his expertise. You can say Ian is an pleasure dominant but with a good heart and he truly respects & began to fall for Vera in a very short time during their two weeks vacation in Italy. I thought it was a pretty good read.
Sweet and charming read
I had the opportunity to listen to Love Lesson by Sarina Bowen early and I loved it. Narrated by Joe Arden and Rose Dioro, they bring Ian and Vera’s story to life. The banter was everything between these two who started as enemies to lovers and I could not stop listening. Vera was determined to make her business a success. She was sweet and caring and drove Ian crazy. Things are not going as planned for Ian, the sexy and charming hockey player. When he gets into some trouble, the team decides he needs a makeover. Enter Vera. They can help each other, right? Vera wants Ian to help her with, well, love lessons. They had some amazing chemistry and I enjoyed reading this book so much. Such a sweet and charming read.
Happy reading!
Fantastic Audiobook
Who doesn’t love a good hockey romance? This girl here loves them.; especially Sarina Bowen’s Brooklyn Bruisers series.
Love Lessons is the newest release in her hockey series featuring Ian and Vera. There are also plenty of appearances from other prominent series characters. That is one of the things I love most about reading a series, getting to keep tabs on favorite characters.
This story features a somewhat enemies to lovers/teacher and student vibe. Ian are neighbors plus their have similar friends so they cross paths frequently. Vera and Ian are attracted to one another, but Vera is hesitant to admit it.
The two find themselves off on an Italian vacation with their friends, the only 2 singletons amongst a group of happily paired couples. While in Italy, the relationship between Vera and Ian evolves.
I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook of Love Lessons, narrated by Joe Arden and Rose Dioro and I throughly enjoyed it. I am quite familiar with Joe Arden and his narration work. Rose Diogo is a relatively new narrator to me. I think I’ve only listened to 1 or 2 other titles narrated by her. I have to say that both did superb with this title.
All in all, you can’t go wrong with Love Lessons. It is a fun, sassy and entertaining read.
