Escorted by an alcoholic local, Keira and Wally backpack their way across an inhospitable stretch of territory from the landing site to the planet’s second city. They make it almost halfway before losing their guide, being attacked by bandits, and stumbling into a pack of dangerous local wildlife.
Then the trouble really starts. Hitherto antagonistic, under pressure of danger they begin to feel attraction for one another.
This, of course, can only lead to worse problems.

Amazing adventure
The book was amazing!! I really loved it , and that's from someone who doesn't like adventure books!
What i liked is how the h&h were normal people, I liked reading the pov of both h&h.
I liked the written accents.
I LOVED the escalating love story and last but not least I LOVED the humor ,it is so funny and i laughed out loud at numerous occasions through it all... And i wanted more, call me greedy, i just like the writer's sense of humor.
, the metric system is a good refreshing change. I liked the plot, not too slow, but what i really liked about it was how unpredictable it is!!!
I will definitely miss Keira and Wally.
Dai alanye is one of a few writers i feel the urge to reread their books more than once.
