Millie Legare dreams of having a romance like those in the books she reads and shelves at the Willow Creek Library. After years of dreaming about her best friend’s brother, Millie decides to deal with the reality that Ford isn’t for her and stops pining, forgets dreaming, and tries to move on.

Ford Davenport has dreamt of starting his own law firm, but the trust fund money he needs to do it will only release if he gets married in the next six weeks. Desperate to make his dream come true, he offers a marriage of convenience to his little sister’s best friend. When Millie agrees, Ford starts to have very inconvenient feelings about his new wife.
