Absolutely amazing!
I am not a mystery or suspense type of girl, but these books keep me hooked! I love every twist and turn, and McKenna’s relationship with Gabriel is so cute. Their interactions with the kids give me life! Angus is my favorite, but the books are overall amazing!
Horrible grammar and spelling takes away from story
A book with such bad writing should never be sold- the least a reader can expect from a book they have paid money for is grade 5 level grammar and work that has been at least proof-read once . That's the perils of self publishing I suppose - buyer beware. The first book had such poor spellings and grammar that it made me think it was written by someone whose first language was not english; but the characters were compelling enough for me to finish the free book. With the second one, it seemed Davidson hired a proof reader at least and it was significantly easier to read (story and characters were average, though.) . This third one is the worst because the the grammar and spelling mistakes are bad and the characters are stagnant and I had to pay for the reading displeasure! The names of the characters have different spellings in different parts of the book ( Shayla or Shalya?). What should have been "let it go." is "let it good."! And I can only assume "crawled fingers " refer to "clawed fingers" There is only so much mental correction I can do . It was like riding in a stick shift car driven by someone who has never driven one . The number of times I had to do a double-take at the erroneous words/sentences gave me whiplash .
Clearly it's my stupidity to expect a natural progression in the story and character development when evidence of the writing potential was to the contrary (And I spent money on this expectation). So I stand as a cautionary tale - don't bother buying the book. Spend that money on some kids school supplies for English class so that she or he will grow up to know the difference between "your" and "you're", or the correct use of commas (which is not to be thrown about in a paragraph like confetti) or even to at least read their work before submission. On the other hand the book could be used as an excercise to spot the error. Grammar nerds- Assemble!
