The recipes in this book are very similar to the Mediterranean diet. The ingredients are whole and natural. Packaged foods are not included in the recipes. No white flour or white sugar is in any of the recipes. Not all of the ingredients in the recipes have exact amounts indicated, as the particular recipe will not fail if one adds a few more shrimp or a couple more pieces of chicken or extra carrots. The intention of the book is to make cooking fun and easy for the busy executive or the beginning young cook. The recipes are fast food, the easy, healthy way.

I've been cooking from this book for a few months (with the paper-back addition) and I couldn't be happier with my results! This book has allowed me to have the freedom to add to a wonderfully structured recipe.
