“M(i)-Story: Reflecting On & Documenting Professional Growth Using Apple Technologies” provides an overview of a professional development reflection program that I am starting at my school. After evaluating current programs, the one piece that was missing was reflection on professional practice. Professional learning, especially with regard to technology, was simply documented and recorded for mandated needs but not used for further professional growth and collaboration. M(i)-Story focuses on having educators and specialists write their own story that encompasses goals, professional learning, reflections, areas of expertise, and more. It is a way to personalize and make more meaningful the process, moving it from “have to” to “want to”. It is about voice AND choice!
