PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Layne proves that the line between love and hate is often blurred in her witty and charming second Best Mistake contemporary (after Only with You). Life isn't going according to plan for Brynn Dalton, who just turned 31. She's a beautiful, successful orthodontist who lives in the Seattle area, but her perfect boyfriend, James, has not yet proposed. When Brynn discovers that her ex-lover Will Thatcher has moved back to town and is now her neighbor, she can't decide whether to act on their mutual attraction or keep pushing him away. Will has his own agenda: He's intent on luring back into his bed, but this time he wants more than one night he wants her heart. The constant sparring between Brynn and Will makes for perfect foreplay as he draws her into understanding that a perfectly planned existence isn't necessary to achieve happiness.

Review: The Best Mistake #2: Made For You
Made for You by Lauren Layne is the second book in her series, The Best Mistake. I knew when I read the first book, Only with You, from the glimpses of Brynn and Will then that I just HAD to read this book. I wasn't disappointed.
Brynn is constantly striving to be the best, to be perfect. She had a tough childhood, bullied about her weight, teeth, and acne until shortly in to her teen years. She dieted, saw a dermatologist, got braces and has been perfect ever since.
Will has been the bane of her existence ever since high school. Together they have such a pre-school relationship (pulling pigtails etc) it's a little ridiculous, but even into their thirties they still antagonize each other at EVERY opportunity.
They don't immediately see what we do, as a reader with the benefit of both POV's, or at least what Brynn doesn't see. Despite how frustrating Brynn can be, and quite frankly how badly I wanted to slap her sometimes, Will's restraint towards aided in my own restraint from abusing fictional literary characters.
The growth of the characters, the flow of the story, and the weaving in of characters beyond the main characters was done to perfection and I can't wait to read more from this author.
You will regret this
I read this three times.
Great!
Love her books and this one isn’t an exception! Lauren Layne is my “go-to” author!! >3
