Great sequel to a great series opener
This is an action packed urban fantasy with superb writing, great character development in a fantastically gritty, wonderfully detailed post-apocalyptic urban setting. In this sequel to Magic Slays, the characters continue to develop and change, as do their relationships with one another. Mysteries about Kate are revealed bit by bit, and the romance with Curran picks up steam. We also get great new characters and new glimpses into existing favorites. The writing, if anything, improved from great to greater.

A great book. Awesome actions, good stakes, a bit of melodrama, and a loud mouth almost teen sorta sidekick.
