Magic Jane

Growing up a human slave to an Elvish lord, Lera has been abused all her life. She has no illusions about her life, but she knows that escape is impossible. She can't speak the human language, and she's never been off her master's estate. Every other slave in the household is a human, and they've all got the same problems that make a better life seem out of reach.
However, Lera's got one thing that no other humans has- magic.
When the estate is attacked, Lera finds herself face to face with Aeron, a Fae warrior trying to get home. He's critically injured, and she hides him in a barn cellar. Using her magic to heal him, Lera convinces Aeron to bring her with him across the Stoneless Wall- the barrier between the Elf and Fae countries.
But Aeron also has his own secrets, and Lera is part of them.
